As a tutor at Shamrock, and a full-time college student finishing a Bachelor's degree in Human Development at Cal State Long Beach, I try to draw upon my own experiences to help the students determine which method of learning best suits them. With a strong science background, especially in the areas of biology, chemistry, human anatomy, and human physiology, I enjoy tutoring students in math and science. I am also a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, and prior to teaching here at Shamrock, worked in an emergency room for five years. As an EMT, I was able to apply the knowledge that I learned in the classroom to real life situations.

As a tutor, I try to instill both pride and confidence in my students. I belive that once these basic skills are instilled, students will be able to realize their own potential, and begin to make the most of their education.
