Special Programs Offered
Standardized Test Prep
SAT Prep courses are offered from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on four consecutive Saturdays prior to any given SAT test date. SAT Prep courses include all test prep materials, as well as 4 diagnostic exams, the first of which is given prior to the first session. These courses are coordinated and taught by Dr. Mary Helen Black, former teacher and Math Dept. Chair of Bishop Montgomery High School. Highly skilled and experienced in techniques used to master SAT concepts, Dr. Black offers a test prep experience comparable to Kaplan or Princeton Review for a fraction of the cost. Register for all 4 sessions for $500, or two sessions for $300. A $75 deposit is required at registration, in order to cover the costs of diagnostic tests and course materials, which are given to students on the first day of class. Check out our September 2010 schedule of SAT classes.
High School Placement Test (HSPT) Prep is offered during the month of January in preparation for the HSPT exam administered by Catholic High Schools at the end of January. Check out our January 2010 schedule of HSPT classes.

Summer Programs
Summer Workshops provide academic support in reading, writing, mathematics, foreign language, and study skills. This program allows our staff to develop a friendly, supportive learning environment and give students a great deal of personal attention. Workshops are taught by experienced, credentialed teachers who recognize and understand factors that interfere with learning. Summer School is offered throughout the summer from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, six days a week. These classes are two hour sessions. Upon approval, high schools allow us to offer students the opportunity to make up courses for credit, in lieu of attending regular summer school. Whether a student needs to make up credits due to non-passing grades, requires help in ares he/she is not proficient, or would just like course enrichment or extra preparation for the next grade level, Shamrock is here to meet our student's needs. For more information, check out our Summer School 2010 schedule.
