Discontinuation of a Monthly Appointment

 

All monthly clients are assumed to continue with Shamrock Tutoring unless we receive a written notice at least 10 days prior to discontinuation of service. This written notice may be emailed to skhester@shamrocktutoring.com or posted to 4620 Del Amo Blvd, Torrance CA 90503. For example, if a student wishes to discontinue tutoring as of October 1st, parents must notify Shamrock Tutoring by September 20th. Failure to remit payment does not constitute written notice of discontinuing tutoring. 

 

 

Late Fees

 

For monthly, annual, bi-annual, and quarterly payment plans, you will automatically be charged a $30.00 fee (equivalent to one hour of tutoring), if your payment is not received within 7 days after the scheduled due date. For example, if your scheduled payment due date is October 22nd, and we have not received payment by October 29th, a $30.00 late fee will be assessed. For parents paying weekly, a late fee of $10 per week applies for payments received after Friday of that week. 

 

 

Returned Check Fee

 

Returned checks are subject to an additional fee of $45.

 

 

Rescheduling Missed Appointments

 

We understand the lives of our clients are quite busy and occasionally it will be necessary to miss an appointment.  If you need to cancel an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we may re-schedule you.  We do not take cancellations.  Shamrock Tutoring does not give refunds, but we are willing to re-schedule the missed appointment (see below for details). 

 

Early Notification:  If a client cancels an appointment 24 hours before the appointment, it is considered an "early notification" and Shamrock Tutoring will grant a make-up appointment as per our policy.

 

Late Notification:  If a client cancels an appointment less than 24 hours prior to the appointment, or if the client fails to show up for the appointment, then that client is not eligible for a make-up appointment.

 

 

Make-Up Appointments

                  

Make-Up appointments must be used within four weeks after the original appointment. For example, an appointment originally scheduled for March 2nd may only be made up as late as March 30th. Clients may not save make up days for other months. Please be advised that make up availability, in terms of day, time and tutor may be limited. We also reserve Fridays and Saturdays exclusively for our "make-up" days.
